The Hamlet Baseball League was started in 2020 by volunteers. We are a non-for-profit organization that provides FREE fall baseball for approximately 350+ boys and girls from the ages of 4-13 from all of Starke County Indiana and surrounding areas. We are happy to be able to offer our community baseball that is FREE of charge for the players because of all our wonderful sponsors and donations from our community.
A- Registration is FREE to ALL players and coaches. We have a great community backing to fund this league. We ask that you check out our banners on the fields and shirts to see these sponsors and support them. A shirt and hat will be provided. Players will be responsible for pants (color is determined by coach), cleats, bat, helmet, and mitt (support is available if needed).
A: From wonderful businesses and people like you who sponsor our league. We also have fundraisers like our big time raffle. Without the sponsors & fundraisers, it wouldn’t be possible so please thank and support our sponsors and fundraisers. If you are interested in sponsoring our league you can click ‘Be A Sponsor’ on our website and fill out a form there or contact us and we can email or mail you one. hamletbaseball@gmail.com

A: Normal game days are played through the week Monday-Friday evenings. Rain makeup days are usually on the weekends. We go by Central Standard Time.
A: Practices are up to the coach and assistant coach of your team. There are usually 2 scheduled practices on the field per week. The grassy areas around our fields are also used for practices any time.
A: Tee Ball. All players hit from a tee for ages 4-6.
Bush League. Players hit from a pitching machine for ages 7-9.

A: No, we have many players from surrounding counties. ALL are welcome!
A: Sorry, we run the program to be as fair as possible and with 300+/- players we cannot guarantee that will happen. All teams are picked by coaches and assistant coaches at the drafts.
A: If a child is advanced enough to play safely in a league ahead they are allowed by our league rules to play up by one year in age with board approval. Please keep in mind what ages they are playing against.
Example: A 6 year old can play up to Bush League, and a 9 year old can play up to Little league.
A- No, we have drafts so teams are more equal and cannot guarantee that you will be able to pick all the players you want.
A- If siblings are playing in the same league, they will stay together.
